Regulatory Compliance

SEA provides federal, state, and international regulatory compliance services for our public and private clients in the health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) and operational areas in the marine, utility, oil and gas industry sectors. To be of optimal value, we learn as much as we can about what, where and how you operate and apply our combined career experiences and knowledge. In addition to required plans, training, exercises and audits required for regulatory compliance, we also provide:
- Guidance and assist you with submitting comments to the regulatory agencies as regulations are promulgated
- Conduct audits on your operations to ensure you are in compliance with current regulations
- Monitor legislation and regulatory proceedings and advise when issues arise that will impact your business
- Research and interpret regulatory requirements to assist you in achieving compliance in the most cost effective manner while ensuring you remain in compliance
Since 1990, SEA has been involved in conceptual approaches for consolidating the contingency planning requirements within and across the various operating departments in oil corporations. This type of planning activity has been referred to as consolidated contingency plans or integrated contingency plans (ICPs). SEA is also knowledgeable on current efforts to develop voluntary pollution prevention plans, a US EPA initiative, that supports sustainable development. The company was on the planning team that prepared Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plans for seven United States Navy facilities in Keflavik, Iceland, and Hampton Roads in southeastern Virginia.
